Back then, many surf trunks featured a dedicated pocket for paraffin wax. Unlike today's SEX WAX, perhaps the wax of that era needed to be reapplied more frequently to maintain grip. We brought that charming detail into these pants. It's also a handy place to keep your SEX WAX during the colder months, when it becomes hard and difficult to apply. Another detail came from a simple frustration of our own. After a day at the beach, I always hated getting the hems of my pants wet while walking on the damp ground. So why not simply cut them off at the ankles? That everyday experience became the inspiration for the cropped silhouette. The timeless character of hickory stripes, combined with a relaxed cropped length, gives these pants a distinctive balance of workwear and surf culture.
