For this collaboration, Shoyoroll partners with UK illustrator Fried Cactus Studio. Known for his hand drawn, concept led work, Fried Cactus builds characters and scenes that are playful, thoughtful and instantly recognizable. His work strips ideas back to their essentials, finding personality in simple lines and everyday moments. The collection brings that perspective into jiu jitsu through a series of original illustrations created exclusively for Shoyoroll. Woven artwork appears throughout a black kimono, no gi set and everyday carry bag, each piece carrying its own character while remaining connected through a shared visual language. Even the interior labels carry the collaboration’s message. “Paying homage to the polarising characters in the jiu jitsu community. Don’t ever change.” Some people take the sport seriously. Some take themselves seriously. This collection is for everyone in between.
