Dillon Open Weave Wool Sport Coat

When we first saw this charcoal Merino wool from Abraham Moon & Sons®, we knew exactly what we wanted to make with it. The open weave and rugged texture felt perfectly suited to a sport coat. Woven in England by Abraham Moon & Sons® from 100% Merino wool, the charcoal cloth uses a traditional "Leno weave" that gives it an open, rugged texture. A natural steamed finish brings even more character to the surface, while the Merino wool keeps the cloth soft with a beautiful natural drape. We paired all that texture with our relaxed sport coat silhouette: unstructured, easy through the body and finished with a soft Italian shoulder. The result is a proper wool jacket that feels considerably less formal than one. Throw it over an oxford shirt or a tee and wear it with denim, chinos or utility pants. Rugged in appearance and refined in the hand, it’s the kind of fabric that can go in either direction. Dress it up when you need to or let the texture do the work with something more casual.
