Comfort & Void Two Truths Collection Inspired by the familiar softness of pillows, Comfort & Void transforms the idea of a rounded, cushioned form into sculptural jewelry. The dimensional brass elements are shaped like small metal pillows, with rounded edges and curved surfaces that evoke warmth, comfort, and something meant to hold you. The soft faux fur deepens that feeling of warmth and comfort, echoing the softness of the pillow like brass forms and inviting a tactile response. But between these forms is something entirely different: space. The open areas become the void, representing emptiness, absence, and what is not there. Rather than filling that space, I chose to leave it open, allowing the emptiness to become an essential part of the composition. Comfort & Void explores the relationship between what is present and what is absent, warmth and emptiness, softness and space. The two ideas don't cancel each other out. They exist together, each making the other more apparent. Handcrafted as sculptural wearable art, these earrings invite you to consider not only the comfort we surround ourselves with, but also the meaning found in the space between.
