Osmio PROMAX-III Ultimate · Triple-stage whole-house filtration Three-stage filtration for water throughout the home The Osmio PROMAX-III combines specialist PFAS and fluoride reduction, catalytic carbon and 0.2-micron NanoCeram® filtration in three full-flow 4.5 × 10-inch housings. Installed on the incoming cold main, it treats water before it branches to taps, showers and appliances. Explore the three stages Installation requirements Point-of-entry treatment Filter the mains supply before it travels around the property The system is installed after the internal stopcock and before the incoming cold main divides around the home. Each stage performs a different job, giving broader treatment than a single sediment or carbon cartridge. Three separate 4.5 × 10-inch antibacterial housings 1-inch female BSP parallel brass ports Useful filtration flow stated up to 30 L/min Brackets, mounting screws and housing spanner included No electrical supply or regeneration cycle required 3 Three treatment stagesComplementary cartridge media 0.2µ Down to 0.2 micronFine final-stage filtration with low pressure drop 30 Up to 30 L/minPublished complete-system guidance 1″ Full-flow connectionsFemale BSP parallel brass ports A defined cartridge sequence Three specialist filters, each with a defined role Water passes through the cartridges in sequence. Published reduction figures and capacities are test-condition results rather than guaranteed performance in every property; actual results depend on flow, incoming water quality and contaminant concentration. 01 F-Guard 2 Micron PFAS & Fluoride Reduction Filter Specialist adsorption media targets PFAS, fluoride and a broad range of chemical contaminants. Published capacity is approximately 10,700 US gallons (40,504 litres) at 1.5 GPM. Up to 92% fluoride Up to 95% PFAS Up to 99% PFOA and PFOS Up to 99% chlorine and chloramine Up to 99% lead Up to 98% heavy metals Up to 98% VOCs and THMs Up to 98% pesticides and herbicides Up to 98% glyphosate Up to 99% pharmaceutical compounds Up to 99% microplastics Up to 94% radionuclides Up to 92% nitrates 02 0.5 Micron Catalytic Chloramine Carbon Block Made from 100% coconut-shell activated carbon to reduce chlorine, chloramine, organic chemicals and unwanted taste and odour. Projected capacity exceeds 60,000 US gallons for chlorine and 4,000 US gallons for chloramine, depending on flow conditions. 03 NanoCeram® 0.2 Micron Pleated Filter Electropositive micro-glass and cellulose media infused with nano-alumina fibres captures fine sediment, turbidity, cysts, bacteria and microparticles. Its pleated construction supports high flow with low pressure loss; published capacity is 40,000 litres under stated conditions. Flow-rate context: The system’s stated flow capability of up to 30 L/min must not be read as confirmation that every published contaminant reduction is achieved at 30 L/min. For example, the stated F-Guard capacity was tested at 1.5 GPM (approximately 5.7 L/min). Choose it for the correct purpose Whole-house filtration does not soften hard water The PROMAX-III targets PFAS, fluoride, disinfectants, fine particles and other contaminants associated with its specified media. It does not remove the dissolved calcium and magnesium responsible for water hardness and limescale. ✓ Whole-home filtration Treats the incoming supply before distribution around the property. + Can complement a softener Filtration and softening can be combined because they perform different jobs. ! Not limescale removal Choose a water softener when hardness minerals are the main concern. Antibacterial housing construction Full-flow housings designed for point-of-entry use The reinforced polypropylene heads and PET bowls use a silver-based antimicrobial agent within the plastic matrix. This is product protection for the housing material; it must not be presented as proof that the system disinfects incoming water. EPDM bowl O-rings and pressure-release valve seals Maximum housing pressure: 6 bar Working temperature: 4–45°C Maximum housing flow rating: 35 L/min Housing tested to listed NSF/ANSI and CSA standards Important: The 35 L/min figure is the individual housing limit. Osmio’s installation manual gives 30 L/min as the useful flow guidance for the complete PROMAX-III filtration system. Plan before ordering Installation requirements that materially affect performance This system becomes part of the main plumbing. Incoming pressure, peak household flow, wall strength, bypass design and future servicing space must be confirmed before installation. 01 Test the pressure Measure incoming pressure before installation. Osmio recommends a pressure-reducing valve when the measured pressure exceeds 5 bar. 02 Provide a bypass A three-valve bypass is recommended so the property can retain water service during filter changes or maintenance. 03 Allow clearance Leave at least 2 inches beneath each bowl so it can be lowered and removed during cartridge replacement. 04 Support the weight Use suitable wall fixings for the combined weight of the housings, cartridges and water. Obtain professional advice if the mounting surface is uncertain. Commissioning and maintenance Flush carefully and maintain the seals at every change After installation or cartridge replacement, Osmio instructs the installer to fill the system slowly and flush through the nearest cold tap for five minutes. Initial black water from carbon media and temporary cloudiness from trapped air can occur during commissioning. 01 Isolate and depressurise Turn off the supply, open the nearest cold tap and use the pressure-release button. 02 Remove the water-filled bowl Use the housing spanner carefully; each bowl remains heavy when full of water. 03 Clean and grease the O-ring Inspect its condition and apply drinking-water-safe silicone plumber’s grease. 04 Refill slowly and flush Open the mains gently, flush for five minutes and inspect every joint for leaks. Ongoing care Monitor each cartridge against its own capacity Capacity figures are measured under defined test conditions and are not a fixed replacement promise. Record installation dates and meter usage where possible. Replace a cartridge sooner if water quality, usage or declining flow requires it, and inspect housings, fittings and O-rings for leaks at least every six months. 40,504 litresF-Guard at the stated test flow 60,000+ / 4,000 galCatalytic carbon chlorine / chloramine 40,000 litresNanoCeram® published capacity Verified technical information Osmio PROMAX-III Ultimate specification Product typeTriple-stage point-of-entry whole-house filter Housing format3 × antibacterial 4.5 × 10-inch housings Filter stagesF-Guard 2 micron, 0.5-micron catalytic carbon and NanoCeram® 0.2 micron Useful complete-system flowUp to 30 L/min stated in installation manual Maximum housing flow rating35 L/min per housing data sheet Connections1-inch female BSP parallel brass threads Maximum working pressure6 bar Working temperature4–45°C Individual housing dimensions360 mm high × 190 mm wide × 185 mm deep Head materialReinforced polypropylene with antibacterial technology Bowl materialPET with antimicrobial technology O-ring materialEPDM Housing standards listedIAPMO RT to NSF/ANSI 42, 61 and 372; CSA B483.1 Installation locationIncoming cold main before it branches around the property Power supplyNot required Included accessoriesMetal brackets, head-mounting screws and housing spanner Installation information Read the manual before arranging the plumbing The manual covers pressure checks, bypass planning, filter order, mounting, O-ring preparation, commissioning and cartridge replacement. ↓ Open the installation manualOfficial Osmio PDF · opens in a new tab Continue browsing Compare systems and find the replacement filters W Whole-house filtersCompare complete point-of-entry systems → O Shop OsmioBrowse Osmio systems, filters and accessories → F Replacement filtersFind cartridges for planned maintenance → Helpful answers Frequently asked questions Will the PROMAX-III remove limescale? No. It is a filtration system, not an ion-exchange water softener. It does not remove the dissolved calcium and magnesium that cause hard-water scale. What flow rate should I use when sizing the system? Osmio’s installation manual describes the complete PROMAX-III as useful up to 30 L/min. The separate housing data sheet gives 35 L/min as the maximum rating of a 4.5 × 10-inch housing. Size the installation using the complete system, cartridges, available pressure and measured peak household demand. Will it reduce PFAS and fluoride at 30 L/min? Do not assume the maximum system flow and test-condition reduction performance are the same figure. The published F-Guard capacity is stated at 1.5 GPM (approximately 5.7 L/min). Reduction performance and cartridge life can change with flow, water chemistry and contaminant concentration, so application-specific testing may be needed where a defined result is essential. Does the antibacterial housing disinfect the water? No such claim should be made. The silver-based antimicrobial additive protects the housing material. It is not a substitute for UV treatment or another validated microbiological barrier. How often should the three filters be replaced? There is no single reliable calendar interval for every property. The F-Guard has a published capacity of approximately 40,504 litres at the stated test flow, while NanoCeram® is listed at 40,000 litres. Catalytic carbon capacity varies sharply by contaminant: the published projections exceed 60,000 US gallons for chlorine but 4,000 US gallons for chloramine. Incoming water, flow and demand can shorten service life. Should a bypass be installed? Yes, Osmio recommends a three-valve bypass where space permits. It allows the system to be isolated during maintenance while retaining a route for water service. How much clearance is needed below the housings? Allow at least 2 inches beneath the bowls so they can drop down for cartridge removal. Additional working space is sensible because each bowl remains heavy when full of water. What happens during first commissioning? Fill the system slowly, flush through the nearest cold tap for five minutes and inspect the complete installation for leaks. Black water from new carbon media and temporary cloudiness from air may occur initially. Can the system be installed outside? The manual allows an external installation only where the system and pipework are properly boxed, weatherproofed and protected against freezing. A suitable internal frost-protected location is preferable where available. Premium product support Need to confirm the flow, pressure or installation space?
