A beautiful and fine detailed antique bronze sculpture depicting Asclepius. Asclepius is known as the God of medicine in the Greek mythology. This sculpture is made in France in the end of the 19th century. Dimensions: 23 x 13 cm / 9.1 x 5.2 inches. Weight: 3.5 kilo's / 7.8 lbs. Condition: very good (see images). It is marked, numbered '1096' and bears the foundry stamp of: Societé Des Bronzes De Paris. It is made of a good quality bronze that wears a warm brown patina.
