All In One Electrospinning System – Modular R&D Machine, 40 kV, Multi-Collector

Brand: Linari Nanotech

All In One is a 40 kV modular electrospinning platform that holds a roll-to-roll unit, an XY gantry and a rotary collector in the same installation — with up to three synchronised pumps, a bipolar field up to 80 kV, a fully insulated chamber and climate control precise to 10–70% RH ±2% and ambient–50 °C ±1 °C. It is the machine for laboratories that do not yet know what they will need in two years. Most systems make you choose a configuration and change it by dismantling; All In One is built so the configurations coexist. Every collector, at the same time Roll-to-roll, XY gantry and the Easy Drum rotary collector can be installed together on the same machine. You move from a flat sample to an aligned mat to a continuous coated substrate by changing what you use, not by rebuilding the station. The XY gantry — fitted either as Gantry 2D Spin or as Gantry 3D Spin, the two being alternatives — moves the emitter along a programmed path, defined through a G-code interpreter from CAD or a CSV from a spreadsheet, with the needle-to-collector distance adjustable during the run. The roll-to-roll unit unwinds a substrate, coats it in front of the emitters and rewinds it, handling substrates up to 300 mm wide. Coaxial and multi-needle emitters, heated needle systems for melt electrospinning and collectors of every geometry can be added later, on a machine already installed. A bipolar field up to 80 kV All In One has a built-in 40 kV generator. The collector is insulated from ground, so a second generator of up to −40 kV can be applied to it: emitter and collector at opposite polarities give a potential difference of up to 80 kV. That matters for polymers that will not open into a stable jet at 40 kV, and for working at larger needle-to-collector distances. For comparison, bipolar supplies on competing laboratory systems are typically specified at ±30 kV. Climate control that does not fight solvent extraction Temperature, relative humidity and solvent vapour change how the jet dries, and therefore fibre diameter, morphology and reproducibility — the same solution can behave differently in summer and in winter in an uncontrolled room. The external air treatment unit (UTA) is the same unit fitted to RT Advanced, with the same performance: 10–70% RH to within 2% and ambient to 50 °C to within 1 °C. It is configured around your process with vaporisers when humidity has to be added, a chiller when it has to be removed, plus heating, heating and cooling or drying stages. What sets it apart is holding those values while extracting solvent vapour. Most systems treat the two as alternatives: seal the chamber to stabilise the climate, or ventilate it and lose control of humidity. The UTA does both, with an airflow strong enough to prevent solvent stagnation and gentle enough not to strip fibres off the collector. It can be added at any time to a machine already installed. An insulated chamber, because grounded metal steals fibres The chamber is completely insulated. Competing systems use metal components and structures which, by construction, have to be earthed — and earthed metal near a high voltage field attracts nanofibres continuously. Those fibres are lost yield: they never reach the collector. In a laboratory working with milligrams of a polymer that may cost hundreds of euros per gram, that loss is not a detail. Watch the Taylor cone while it spins An optional camera on the Taylor cone shows you the jet as it forms. Electrospinning is usually diagnosed after the fact, under the SEM, hours after the run: with the camera you see immediately whether the cone is stable, whether the jet is whipping or dripping, and whether a parameter change did what you expected. It pairs naturally with espin.ai: the AI suggests a starting set of parameters, the camera tells you within seconds whether they hold. Digital Pack An optional package that connects the machine to your systems: Alleantia connectivity to external systems, with more than ten integration protocols. EU Data Act compliance — free, secure, programmatic access to configuration and telemetry data, which you can write into your own cloud platform or internal servers. Remote maintenance, so most process and control issues are resolved without waiting for a visit. Recipe and run management — every run is saved as a complete recipe (material, solvent, concentration, temperature, humidity, voltage, flow rate, distance, collector speed, duration), with an automatic Run ID and a PDF/CSV report generated for each run, including parameter trends and the operator on record. Alarms with email notification — process and equipment alarms are sent by email as they occur, so an out-of-range parameter or a fault does not go unnoticed between visits to the lab. Up to three pumps, driven from one display All In One takes up to three syringe pumps, all digitally controlled from the machine’s integrated LCD display and synchronised with the collector movements and the high voltage generators. Flow rates, gantry path, rotation and field are not set on separate boxes with their own knobs: they are one program, started and stopped together. That synchronisation is what makes a recipe repeatable. When flow, movement and voltage are coordinated by the same controller, a run you did in March can be reproduced in October by a different operator — and multi-solution work becomes a setting rather than a choreography. The pumps sit in a drawer below the chamber, connected by tubes, which keeps the working volume free and the machine affordable. If your priority is minimising dead volume — because the polymer is expensive, available in milligrams, or because cross-contamination between materials has to be prevented structurally — RT Advanced moves the syringes with the needles and uses no tubes at all. One display for the whole machine Everything is set from an LCD display integrated into the machine: voltage, flow rates, collector rotation, gantry path and process timing. There is no separate control unit to wire up, no laptop to keep connected, and no set of independent instruments to keep in step by hand. It is a small thing that decides how a laboratory actually uses a machine. When the whole process lives behind one interface, a student can be trained on it in an afternoon and a shared instrument stays reproducible between groups. Complete your All In One setup: coaxial needles for core-shell fibers, collectors of every geometry, syringe pumps and heating needle systems for melt electrospinning. Not sure which one? Talk to an R&D expert and we will configure the system around your material and your target output - or have our laboratory in Pisa validate your nanofiber first. Frequently asked questions Can All In One produce aligned nanofibers? Yes. Using the rotating drum collector at high speed the fibers are drawn and aligned along the rotation direction, while at low speed you obtain a randomly oriented non-woven mat. You can switch between the two by changing the operating settings, on the same machine. How many syringe pumps can it take? Up to three, all digitally controlled from the integrated LCD display and synchronised with the collector movements and the high voltage generators, so flow, motion and field run as a single program. The pumps sit in a drawer below the chamber and are connected by tubes; if minimising dead volume is a priority, RT Advanced moves the syringes with the needles and uses no tubes. Can I see the Taylor cone during the process? Yes, with the optional camera. It shows the jet as it forms, so you can tell immediately whether the cone is stable rather than discovering it hours later under the SEM. Can I connect the machine to my own systems? Yes, with the optional Digital Pack: Alleantia connectivity with more than ten integration protocols, EU Data Act compliant access to configuration and telemetry data, remote maintenance, recipe/run management with automatic Run ID and PDF/CSV reporting, and alarms sent by email as they occur. I have an Electro-spinner 2.0 - is it still available? The Electro-spinner 2.0 is no longer in production. All In One is its successor: it covers the same laboratory needs with a 40 kV built-in generator, interchangeable flat and drum collectors and a modular upgrade path (roll-to-roll, XY gantry, air treatment unit). If you are citing an existing Electro-spinner 2.0 in a paper, keep the original model name and add Linari Engineering S.r.l., Pisa, Italy; if you are replacing it, talk to an R&D expert and we will match your current configuration. What is the XY gantry for? It is a motorised system that moves the needle over the collector along a programmed path, defined through a G-code interpreter from CAD or through a CSV file from a spreadsheet. It gives uniform and controlled deposit thickness, repeatable coverage over large areas, and lets you set the needle-to-collector distance during the process. It is fitted either as Gantry 2D Spin or as Gantry 3D Spin — the two are alternatives. Can I produce continuous membranes with a roll-to-roll system? Yes. The roll-to-roll collector unwinds a substrate, coats it in front of the emitters and rewinds it, handling substrates up to 300 mm wide and turning batch collection into continuous production of membranes and coated supports. Why would I need an external air treatment unit? Because temperature, humidity and solvent vapour strongly affect fiber morphology. The UTA holds 10–70% RH to within 2% and ambient to 50 °C to within 1 °C while extracting solvent-laden air, making results reproducible throughout the year and improving safety with volatile solvents. Can I add these options later? Yes. All In One is modular: XY gantry, roll-to-roll, air treatment unit, Taylor cone camera, Digital Pack, coaxial and multi-needle emitters, ventilation and temperature control can be installed on a machine already in operation. Is there a smaller or more accessible complete system? Yes. The Compact Electrospinning Unit is the smallest complete system producing both random and aligned fibers, and the Electrospinning Starter Kits are the most accessible complete stations - all delivered ready to run, with generator, pump, needles and collector included. How do I know if my material can be electrospun? You can ask espin.ai for a starting set of process parameters, or have our laboratory in Pisa run a feasibility test on your actual material and characterize the fibers by SEM before you decide. What voltage and collectors does the machine use? All In One has a built-in 40 kV high voltage generator. The collector is insulated from ground and can be connected to a second generator of up to −40 kV, giving a bipolar potential difference of up to 80 kV between emitter and collector. Flat and drum collectors are easily interchangeable and rotate in both directions. DOWNLOAD DATASHEET
