There are certain characteristics you don't often see in clay bodies... and deep blacks like these are one of those things. These pieces are equally as fine as some of the Yue Chao's more flashy pieces like the Dragon's Breath but with much more subtly. If you need loud to enjoy your teaware these aren't going to be for you, but... if you like intentional, well crafted, and something you can sit and study the intricacies, then this may be the next best gaiwan in your collection. Each of these pieces are handmade and wood fired so there will be natural variations with the pattern and movement from the fire in the kiln.
