Sora 空 — Yume Tanigawa, Kyoto

A small, round bowl by Kyoto-based potter Yume Tanigawa. The exterior is unglazed light grey stoneware with a coarse, almost sandy surface, while the interior is glazed in deep slate grey with an uneven, textured finish. A dark blue geode slice is set into the clay at the base — its crystalline surface catching light against the matte surroundings.
