Wednesday July 22nd Doors open at 5pm Music 6:30-9pm Midnight Breakfast is an indie-soul quintet based in Portland, Maine. Initially covering pop standards and funk tunes, they recorded their self-titled debut album during quarantine and released it in January 2021. In 2023, the band returned with their EP Bleeding Red, an exploration of grappling with life’s complexities and the quest for clarity amidst uncertainty. With their unique blend of groovy melodies, kaleidoscopic improvisation, and blissfully jazz-kissed vocals, Midnight Breakfast delves into themes of love, self-discovery, and the universal search for meaning. Listen to Midnight Breakfast MKTrio is an east coast alternative-jazz outfit comprised of Myles Kelley (keys), August Duclos (bass), and Owen Markowitz (drums). Formed as product of a high school friendship in Midcoast Maine and the upstate NY college circuit, the MKtrio plays improvised music inspired by modern players like mark Guiliana and Robert Glasper, with respect for the tradition of Coltrane and Freddie Hubbard. MKtrio was honored to perform on the main stage at the Jazz in June Festival (Camden, ME) last year with the Jango Festival Allstars and Kandace Springs. Listen to MKTrio
