Resist (Massive)
The right to Resist. The biggest sticker I have drawn so far is to highlight a big issue, the genocide and suffering inflicted on the indigenous Palestinian people that has been on an accelerated trajectory since 1948. This sticker includes many elements, Watermelon - After Israel banned the Palestinian flag in the occupied territories, the watermelon became a quiet act of resistance — its sliced interior revealing the red, white, black, and green of the flag that could not be shown. The Nakba (“catastrophe”) Stone - refers to the mass displacement of over 700,000 Palestinians in 1948, the destruction of hundreds of villages, and the founding trauma that remains the central wound in Palestinian collective memory and the ongoing struggle for justice. Keffiyeh gloves - The black-and-white checkered keffiyeh, originally worn by Palestinian farmers and peasants, became a worldwide symbol of Palestinian resistance, dignity, and national identity — its pattern now recognized across the globe as a mark of solidarity. Key - The ‘miftah’ is carried by Palestinian refugees and passed down through generations as a sacred promise of return to the homes they were forced to flee in 1948, a tangible reminder that they have not forgotten where they come from. River Jordan - The Jordan River marks the eastern boundary of historic Palestine, representing both the natural geography of the Palestinian homeland and a border that has come to symbolise occupation, displacement, and the longing for freedom of movement. Dome of the Rock & Jerusalem an island in the river - The golden Dome of the Rock in Al-Quds (Jerusalem) is the spiritual and emotional heart of Palestinian identity, representing their ancient connection to the holy city and their determination that it remain an open, shared, and sovereign place. Olive Tree - olive trees are a symbol of deep-rooted Palestinian heritage and steadfastness (sumud), as families have tended the same groves for generations — making the uprooting of these trees by Israeli forces one of the most painful acts of dispossession. White Dove - the dove of peace, a wish we have for the future. There are many more elements I have included, such as the Nakba stone and the rock on the other side to highlight that the Palestinians are between a rock and a hard place. Can you recognise any others? 50% of all profits from the sticker will go to grassroots charities working directly with Palestinians in Palestine✌️ This is a very large Sticker.
