4AD Records x Orbit Beers Collaboration: Modern Vienna Lager
Orbit Beers have long been fans of 4AD records. Our Pale Ale IVO is in fact named after the founder of the record label - Ivo Watts-Russell. 4AD is a British independent record label, founded in 1980. It was originally funded by, and an imprint of, Beggars Banquet. This latest collaboration beer is to support 4AD’s April pop-up store in Brixton Village called Enclosed in Amber for Dry Cleaning and Big Thief performances at London’s Brixton Academy from 22nd-26th April. Together we've created a reimagined Vienna Lager that explores the new flavour possibilities of using modern yeast strains. Built on a base of Vienna malt, it delivers notes of toasted malts, biscuits, and light caramel before fermentation with SH-45 lager yeast, which emphasises the fruitier hop flavours. Expect vinous aromas of citrus and white grape from Cascade and Hallertau Blanc hops, layered over a subtle malt sweetness. The finish is clean, crisp, and pleasantly bitter, keeping the beer refreshing alongside its expressive aroma. A modern take on the style; smooth and drinkable like a lager, with the aromatic charm of an amber ale.
