Round Hooked Rug
Early 1900's, New England, USA. Freehand undulating field of color held in a single black border. Painterly tones - tangerine, cornflower, gold, cream and cadmium. Textured and dimensional clipped pile on traditional burlap ground. Likely worked from salvaged wool. Condition excellent with single old repair, previously only displayed. Could be prepared for the wall, or used as an accent floor piece.
