Saute-Mouton Cushion
Made in Québec. Made to last. Made to be noticed. Our cushions are born from a simple philosophy: nothing goes to waste. The leather, suede, cowhide and sealskin scraps generously produced during the making of our winter boots find a second life here, transformed into decorative pieces that are as elegant as they are authentic. Each cushion is stuffed with shredded wool and hand-assembled by our artisan seamstresses in our Québec City workshop. Every step of the process is done entirely by hand, from carefully selecting each scrap to the final stitch, requiring significant skill and time. It is this human craftsmanship, impossible to replicate by machine, that gives each piece its true value. Because every scrap is unique, every cushion is too. Two pieces will never be exactly alike. One side of the cushion is checkered while the other is a solid color (see pictures). This allows you to change the style, making full use of both sides. Warm, sturdy, and rooted in the artisanal craftsmanship that has defined Saute-Mouton for nearly 30 years, it fits beautifully in a modern home or a lakeside chalet. Treat yourself to a piece of Québec or give a gift that truly means something. Chic, lasting, and full of heart.
