Roots Collection – Stoneware Vessel 15

“Roots” is an homecoming – both to my native Cumbria and to the stoneware clay where my ceramic journey first began. First inspired by the rugged textures of the Lake District, this collection explores the relationship between stone and time. Each piece draws directly from the landscape: the ancient, lichen-encrusted dry-stone walls and the nuanced palette of weathered minerals found across the fells. Highly intricate details and small porcelain features are embedded throughout the work, creating areas of focus and contrast. Emma Louise Wilson
