2026 Great Craft Gathering Catalog
This exhibition features an exciting roster of internationally acclaimed artists from across the United States working in ceramics, textiles, printmaking, sculpture, and mixed media. Bringing together some of today’s most compelling voices in contemporary craft, the exhibition highlights the power of artistic practice to spark dialogue, inspire connection, and respond to the social and political realities shaping our communities. Through ambitious and deeply personal works, these artists demonstrate craft’s vital and evolving role within contemporary culture Curated by Roger C. Tucker III, founder of Tucker Contemporary Art, this exhibition frames visual art as a form of cultural navigation where artists move between, blend, and challenge cultural systems. An art advisor, curator, and collector, Tucker works with collectors and institutions to support emerging contemporary artists. In an increasingly global context, the featured works reflect how makers translate experience across boundaries of race, tradition, nationality, and lived identity, offering new ways of understanding culture and connection. Featured artists include Karen Hampton, Tenjin Ikeda, Monna Morton, Silas Munro, Dr. Diana N’Diaye, Mame N’Diaye, Ashley Page, Corey Pemberton, Elaine Robnett Moore, Ghislaine Sabiti, Malcolm Mobutu Smith, Lynne Toye, and Folayemi Wilson. Their work explores themes of heritage, resilience, spirituality, joy, and self-determination. “In a time of great transformation I had to remind myself to remember the joy,” reflects artist Tenjin Ikeda. “To never lose sight of it even in the face of adversity.” This sense of reflection and resilience is echoed throughout the exhibition.
