Roy Cross Aviation Art - Albatros D.V piloted by Baron Manfred von Richtofen, July 1917

Newly available: Original painting in acrylic on canvas Canvas Size: 30 x 20 inches, signed lower right. This was nearly von Richtofen’s last flight. In the ensuing combat with RFC FE 2d two-seaters, a stray round struck him in the head. He lost consciousness and came to just in time to force land his Albatros behind German lines. This is one of the last available Roy Cross aviation paintings. All othere have been sold except those remaining available at Art Marine.
