"Battle Battered" 3rd ID 7th Infantry Regiment 1st Battalion 1st Lt
Complete infantry helmet with an original post-war Dutch shell, accompanied by a German-made fiber liner. The shell is equipped with swivel bales and has been repainted in the configuration of a first lieutenant of the 1st Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division, with the battalion insignia, the ace of spades, worn on the back, as observed in photographic documents from the Italian campaign and Operation Dragoon. The Battle Battered finish recreates the appearance of equipment worn in the field. Offered complete with a 1960s German army fiber helmet liner, an early war raised bar helmet chinstrap, and a reproduction leather chinstrap stamped with the "HAGERSTOWN LEATHER COMPANY" mark.
