8 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky World Cup Edition – 46 vol. 35cl
The second-match dram. An 8-year-old single malt scotch whisky for Scotland's group fixture against Morocco. The 8 Year Old is the second match of the set. The cobalt-blue label is the cooler colour, because by the time Scotland walks out for Morocco on Friday 19 June, the country has had five days to think about what happened on the Sunday. A cooler colour is what those five days call for. It is the youngest in the Drams for the Tartan Army release. Brighter on the nose, more direct on the palate, with the kind of clarity a second-match dram needs. Pour it slowly. The fixture will reward composure. The label carries the date, the venue, the opponent, and a small Saltire raised against a darker flag. The lions are rampant on both sides. The pour is for Friday 19 June, at eight o'clock in the evening BST, when Scotland returns to Gillette Stadium in Foxborough to play Morocco in the match that decides what happens against Brazil the following Wednesday. Do not look at the form guide. The bottle will hold the composure for you. Released individually, or as part of the Drams for the Tartan Army set of three. Mibbes aye, mibbes naw.
