This artwork reflects the powerful connection between women, community and Country. Throughout the painting there are many circles symbolising gathering places, meeting places and the connection shared between women across generations. The birthing cave represents life, creation, motherhood and the sacred strength carried by women. Women symbols woven throughout the artwork honour our mothers, grandmothers, daughters and ancestors acknowledging the knowledge, stories and spirit passed down through generations. Original Painting Acrylic on archival canvas 42.5 cm x 60 cm (Recycled Timber Frame) All artwork is made and custom framed on Gumbaynggirr Country.
