Grape varieties: Hárslevelü, Juhfark Alcohol: 12,5% Region: Somló (Hungary) Winemaker: Angela & Werner Michlits Meinklang is a leading biodynamic winery in Burgenland. The grapes for Foam Vulkan come from vineyards at the foot of Somló, an extinct volcano on the Hungarian side. Here, the native grape varieties Harslevelü and Juhfark are harvested a little earlier for this wine. After spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel, the wine is directly bottled to complete fermentation in the bottle. In the glass, it displays a bright straw-yellow color with an enticing sparkle and aromas of yellow-fleshed fruits, along with delicate hints of meadow herbs. Best enjoyed well-chilled at 6°C as the perfect aperitif or paired with light snacks before a meal.
