(Vicia faba) Faba Bean is grown for the harvest of the dried or fresh seeds which are a smaller version of Broad Beans. Dried Faba beans are used to in various cuisines when dried such a stews & making falafels. Green/fresh seeds are used as you do broad beans in stir frys etc.. Faba Beans are a brilliant soil improver, they have the ability fix nitrogen from the atmosphere which makes them a perfect winter cover crop when paired with vetch or a grass such as oats, barley or wheat.
