Learn to Knit: Cozy Winter Shawl

The Cozy Winter shawl has been a favourite of ours for quite some time now! The beautiful cables and lace work are stunning against the simplicity of the garter stitch. Join Andrea as you work through this beautiful shawl together! Experience Level We understand that big projects can feel overwhelming, especially when you hit a slump or try a new technique. Our classes are here to support you. You will be part of a small group where we support one another, share progress, and stay motivated through to the last stitch. What you should know • You are comfortable with the basics: casting on, knitting and purling What you will learn: Knitting Cables Lace (YO) Icord edging Chart reading Class Information Group Size • To give everyone plenty of attention, we keep our classes small, with just five (5) students. The class will take place in person at Statement Junkie Yarn. Duration • Five (5) weeks (One 2-hour session per week). Only five (5) spots are available, and half typically fill in the first week. If you’re interested in joining, we recommend signing up soon to secure your seat. Andrea Marinic will guide you through the class. Andrea has a sharp attention to detail and will help you every step of the way showing each step and technique as you go. What's Included: A digital copy of the pattern downloaded to your Ravelry account. We will require your Ravelry name to purchase the pattern on your behalf. 5 classes in a small positive learning environment teaching you additional skills such as cable and lace knitting. What you will need: Yarn: 6 balls of DROPS Big Merino or 492 yards (450 meters) of Aran Weight Yarn. Cozy Winter Shawl kits are available and can be pre-ordered here.
