Saint Emily de Rodat
Born Marie Gilamet Emily de Rodat in 1787, St. Emily de Rodat began teaching poor children for free at age 18. Her love for the poor evolved into a lifelong mission that eventually led to the establishment of the Congregation of the Holy Family of Villefranche, which now operates internationally. She died of cancer in 1852 and was canonized in 1950 by Pope Pius XII. Feast Day: September 19
