Houghton Trade Knife (HTK)

This is our HTK , or Houghton Trade Knife, it is inspired by the old Hudson Bay knives. It is made out of 80CRV2 high carbon steel and hardened to a 58 hrc, (or rockwell hardness). It is 1/8 thick and flat grinded but left with a robust edge and tip. It comes in at 12.5in end to end with 7.5 inches of usable edge, and the handle has plenty of real estate at 5 inches. It was designed to be used at the camp and on the cutting board. High carbon steel can patina and get slight surface rust if not maintained. It comes with a rugged handmade leather sheath in black.
