It was designed to be used with a folding-style handle rather than a fixed crank.The 9-1/2" (24.1mm) arm length refers to the operator's arm reach. Verify handedness by standing outside the home looking at the window; a left-hand operator installs on the left side of a casement window sash.This operator is discontinued. The current replacement is the new-style Ellipse operator, which uses a plastic decorative cover that snaps over the metal body.
