This enclosure uses a 1.5" double-layer baffle — two full sheets of Langboard Elite MDF bonded and CNC-cut as a single unit. Baffle flex at this driver size and power level introduces distortion and mounting hardware stress. The double-layer eliminates that flex entirely. Threaded inserts are installed through the baffle matched to the IDMAX 15's bolt pattern. The driver mounts with 8/32 machine screws — metal-to-metal threading, not wood screws into MDF. It stays torqued under vibration and survives repeated remounts without stripping. Dado + V-Groove Joinery | Extensive Internal Bracing A sealed enclosure at 2.0 cu ft with a 15" driver running 1200W generates sustained internal pressure across every panel. Every joint in this enclosure is CNC-cut to interlock before adhesive is applied — dado joints recess each panel into its mating surface, V-groove cuts at panel edges create a mechanical lock. Extensive internal bracing ties opposing walls and spans panel runs throughout. The cabinet stays rigid, the airspace stays constant, and the bass the driver produces is what the customer hears — not a distorted version filtered through a flexing box.
