Iconic example for form. 16 ¾” blade with broad ricasso, depressed on the back to rest the thumb, addorsed blade catchers below. Single edged tapered wedge section blade. Elegant 11 ½” width cross guard. Wire wrapped inset ribbed grip in the Spanish taste. Excellent with soft gray patina. These were made en suite with cup hilted rapiers for dueling and street fighting which was fashionable at the time.
