November Beginning Wheel

Learn the basics of wheel throwing, no experience necessary! In this four-week course, you'll discover the joys of making pottery on the wheel while learning the entire process from start to finish. Beginning Wheel is geared toward absolute beginners, as well as anyone with a little experience who'd like extra practice and guidance. Working on the wheel invites you to slow down, focus on the present moment, and engage fully with the process of making. This class encourages experimentation, patience, and practice as you build confidence and develop new skills at the wheel. Classes meet once a week for 2-hour sessions, with daily open studio time available for you to practice between classes. Because each week's lesson builds on the work and skills developed in previous sessions, we strongly encourage students to attend all four classes. It is especially important to attend the first class, so if you anticipate missing Week 1, we recommend enrolling in a different session. Classes are for adults 18 and over. Location 1600 Altamont Avenue Richmond, VA 23230 Policies Cancellations made 4 or more days before the start of the class will be refunded. For cancellations made fewer than 4 full days, but more than 24 hours before the start time, a 50% refund or 50% credit toward another class or workshop will be issued. We cannot provide refunds or credits for cancellations or rescheduling requests made fewer than 24 hours before the start time of class, if you miss your class, or arrive too late to participate.
