Peter Lauer Riesling Grand Cru Unterstenberg (2022)

Peter Lauer makes some of the Saar’s most distinctive Rieslings, and Unterstenberg comes from old vines in the famed Ayler Kupp vineyard. Citrus and orchard fruit meet herbs, wet stone and a pronounced mineral character, with bright acidity running through a textured, concentrated wine. This is serious German Riesling with plenty of personality, terrific with pork, seafood or spicy food and fascinating enough to drink slowly on its own.
