Special Edition: SoftRide Baucher Snaffle

The SoftRide mouthpiece features a double-jointed design with rubber cannons and a smooth copper lozenge in the centre. The rubber gives a soft, warm feel while the copper lozenge encourages salivation and a relaxed, forward contact. Its narrow profile suits horses with limited tongue-to-palate space and those new to or sensitive to contact. The Baucher, or hanging cheek, holds the bit in a fixed, stable position in the mouth. Contrary to popular belief it applies no poll pressure under contact. That stability makes the rider's aids clearer and is often preferred by nervous horses, horses with sensitive bars, and horses that dislike the weight of the bit resting on the tongue.
