HD CLUTCH RELEASE BEARING [RB0302]
ClutchMax Clutch Release Bearing: Also known as a throw out bearing, a common replacement when installing a new clutch Clutch release bearing is housed within transmission bell housing. It sits and is located on a "guide tube" which surrounds the input shaft of the transmission. When you push the clutch pedal down; the slave cylinder forces the shift fork to push the release bearing into the pressure plate. This action allows for you to shift with the transmission disengaged. It is a common and recommended practice to replace this component when installing a new clutch. However, it is possible for the release bearing to fail before the clutch needs replacement. If you hear a whining or squealing noise when the clutch pedal is pushed to the floor as you are shifting it typically means the release bearing has gone bad and needs to be replaced.
