Dating to the 1870-80s, these fabulous little Etruscan revival earrings are crafted from 9ct rose gold and ‘bloomed’ to give a rich matte yellow gold finish. Designed for pierced ears with post fittings and (later) butterfly backs. Please note, boxes are for display only unless otherwise stated. Centered with a small rose cut diamond to each earring, the oval fronts feature a central Etruscan Revival eight-pointed star, framed by fine twisted rope-work and surrounded by a decorative border of small, flat gold bead-like granules, creating a beautifully intricate textured finish. Small and dainty as per the style of the era these sweet and all original earrings are perfect for the Victorian jewellery collector or anyone who appreciates fine antique jewellery.
