Northcenter
Inspired by the breeze through open windows along charming, leafy blocks, with notes of linen, white oak, and vanilla. Northcenter sits along the Chicago River, in an area once dotted with brickyards and breweries that helped rebuild Chicago after the Great Fire of 1871. Settled in the late 1800s by German, Polish, Greek, and Romanian immigrants, the neighborhood was transformed by streetcars and the Ravenswood ’L’, today’s Brown Line, which connected it to the rest of the city. Today, Northcenter’s tree-lined blocks and welcoming small-town feel make it one of the city’s most lived-in neighborhoods. Source: WTTW.
