Once the system pressure is restored to a level sufficient to deactivate the pressure switch, a flow switch takes over the role of monitoring the system. As long as there is a flow present, the pump will remain operational. When the flow ceases, a predefined time delay is initiated to prevent the pump from rapidly cycling on and off. After this delay period elapses, the pump will be deactivated.In cases where a drop in pressure is caused by a line leak, the pump will activate for the duration specified by the time delay setting before automatically turning off.
