Ohana Roast - Peaberry Edition

A special release of our Peaberry Ohana Roast — one of the rarest lots on our Brazen Hazen estate. A peaberry isn't a different bean, it's a different shape. Most coffee cherries develop two flat-sided beans pressed together; a peaberry cherry grows just one small, round bean instead. Only about 3-5% of any harvest sorts out this way, so a true Kona peaberry coffee is genuinely limited by nature, not by us. Making up roughly 3-5% of our harvest, peaberries are thought to have greater density of flavor and are highly sought after. Due to their unique shape, peaberry beans roast very well and provide a wonderfully smooth and classic Kona taste. These rare beans are the supreme choice for Kona coffee lovers around the world. We sort, roast, and release our Peaberry Ohana Roast once or twice a year, in small batches, straight from our family estate in Holualoa, Hawaii — the same 100% Kona coffee we grow and roast to order for every bag we ship, just in its rarest form.
