The Seiko Selection S-Series Digital HFL001P is the 145th Anniversary limited model in the Seiko Selection lineup — and the most historically specific watch in the entire Edo Purple collection. Its base model is the "Rotocall" — the nickname enthusiasts gave to a specific Seiko digital watch launched in 1982, immediately recognisable by its unique octagonal rotary switch which physically rotates to switch between modes. The Rotocall was standard issue for a generation of NASA astronauts, appeared on the wrists of space shuttle crew members throughout the 1980s and 1990s, and developed a passionate international collector following that has only intensified since its 2025 revival. This 145th anniversary version takes the Rotocall's black case and renders the rotary switch bezel in Edo Purple aluminium — a vivid contrast against the all-black stainless steel case and bracelet that captures what Seiko calls "the aesthetic of Edo, forceful and stylish." Gold Seiko logo and function display text add the anniversary gold accent. Digital Caliber A824 with 1/100 second stopwatch to 99 hours, countdown timer, dual-time, daily alarm, auto-calendar to 2074, LED internal illumination. World limited to 4,000 pieces with 400 allocated domestically. Releasing October 9, 2026. *Pre-Order! Estimated release and shipment from October 9, 2026.* Key Features: The Rotocall — Octagonal Rotating Bezel, NASA Heritage: The rotary switch is the single feature that defines the Rotocall in watch culture: an octagonal bezel that physically rotates to switch between functions — time, stopwatch, timer, alarm, dual-time — in a way that feels mechanical even though the watch is fully quartz. This feature made the original 1982 model NASA's choice for shuttle astronauts, and it has remained the Rotocall's defining characteristic through the 2025 revival and into this anniversary edition. Edo Purple Aluminium Bezel — All-Black Case Contrast: The Edo Purple aluminium bezel on the rotary switch provides immediate visual impact against the all-black Hardlex case and black stainless steel bracelet — the aesthetic contrast Seiko describes as evoking the "forceful and stylish" character of Edo. Gold Seiko logo and function labels complete the anniversary accent scheme. Digital Caliber A824 — 1/100s Stopwatch, Dual-Time, LED: The A824 provides 1/100 second stopwatch to 99 hours 59 minutes, countdown timer in 1-minute increments to 100 minutes, dual-time display, daily alarm, single alarm, battery low warning, auto-calendar to December 31, 2074, LED internal illumination. ±20 seconds per month accuracy, approximately 3-year battery life. Screw Caseback, 10ATM — "LIMITED EDITION" Marking: 37.0mm x 43.5mm x 10.6mm stainless steel case with black hard coating. Hardlex crystal.
