2021 Fender Custom Shop Telecaster, Heavy Relic Blonde

A 2021 Fender Custom Shop Telecaster finished in classic Butterscotch Blonde, and given an Ultra Heavy Relic treatment. Built around the familiar early-'50s Telecaster specification, it combines the looks and feel of a very well-used vintage instrument with the consistency and playability of a modern Custom Shop build. The 2-piece ash body and maple neck give the guitar the direct, immediate response associated with a good Telecaster, while the vintage-style '51 Nocaster pickups provide plenty of snap, clarity and bite. The familiar three-way switching offers the expected range of bridge, neck and combined pickup tones. The neck is described as a "65 Strat-C", a slight concession to more modern player tastes, the classic blackguard deep V is not to all tastes, and the fretboard has likewise been a more modern 9.5 inch radius for easier bending. The nitrocellulose finish has been given an ultra-Heavy Relic, giving the guitar extensive wear throughout including worn-through areas, checking and aged hardware, recreating the appearance of a heavily played vintage Telecaster. The underlying instrument is in excellent condition, with the extensive wear forming part of the factory Custom Shop relic treatment. A straightforward Custom Shop Telecaster with a classic Butterscotch Blonde finish and one of the more heavily aged relic treatments available from Fender.
