Handcrafted from start to finish in Astier’s historic workshop, this elegant vessel was made from black terracotta clay sourced from the Paris Basin and pressed into handcarved plaster molds — a slow-paced, traditional process that gives each piece its own unique character. From there, it was coated in the brand’s signature milky white glaze, which lets hints of that natural clay color peek through for a perfectly imperfect feel, and finished with its maker’s initials and a “made in Paris” stamp on its underside for a lasting reminder of the thoughtful human touch that went into creating it.
