Yes. Red Paddle Co uses quadruple stringers (tension bands) on the deck and underside to compensate for the fold. In our own testing at The SUP Company Test Centre, we found the Compact 11'0" to be remarkably rigid, even for larger paddlers. Can I fit more than just the board in the Compact bag? Absolutely. The Compact backpack is designed with extra space for your leash, pump, and paddle, with side pockets for water bottles. It's an incredibly ergonomic bag with excellent lumbar support for longer walks. How do I look after the folding seam? The seam is designed to be folded, so no special treatment is required.
