Colombia, Proyecto Berruecos
Proyecto Berruecos is a community effort led by Francy Castillo in the mountains of Nariño, Colombia. By collecting parchment coffee from dozens of small producers across the Arboleda region, Francy helps farmers in remote communities access the specialty coffee market, earn better prices, and continue investing in both quality and sustainability. The result is a washed community lot that captures what makes this region so special. Grown between 1,800 - 2,100 metres above sea level and fermented over multiple stages before slow patio drying, it delivers remarkable sweetness and clarity in the cup. Expect notes of black cherry, vanilla, and orange zest, carried by a silky body and bright, juicy finish that keeps you reaching for another sip
