Cake Decorating 101 Sep 8th | 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM $150 per person | Supplies Included Join us for a hands-on cake decorating workshop focused on the foundations of buttercream decorating. In this class, students will learn how to crumb coat, fill, frost, and decorate a cake using American buttercream. The first part of class will focus on basic decorating skills and proper piping technique. Students will then apply those skills to create a textured buttercream cake using a variety of piping styles. This class is designed as an introduction to cake decorating and is a strong starting point for students who want to build confidence with buttercream, piping bags, and decorating tips. In this class, students will learn: How to crumb coat a cake How to fill and frost a cake How to work with American buttercream How to use multiple piping tips How to pipe shells, stars, zig-zags, ruffles, and rosettes How to apply piping techniques to decorate a finished cake What’s included: All ingredients and supplies Step-by-step instruction American buttercream used in class Cake decorating practice with multiple piping tips A decorated buttercream cake to take home One ticket admits one participant. Spaces are limited, so reserve your spot today! Class Policy & Attire Guidelines NY Cake Academy classes are held at our Manhattan flagship location at 118 W 22nd Street, New York, NY. Classes are hands-on, interactive experiences designed to provide practical instruction in a fun and supportive environment. For safety and comfort, participants should wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. Long hair should be tied back during class. Registration & Class Size Class sizes are limited to help ensure proper instruction and attention. Advance registration is strongly encouraged, as classes may fill quickly. Registration closes 24 hours before the scheduled class start time, and no registrations will be accepted after the deadline. Late Arrival Policy Participants who arrive more than 15 minutes late will not be admitted and will forfeit their registration. No refunds, credits, or transfers will be provided for late arrivals. Cancellations, Class Changes & Transfers Cancellations or class changes must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled class. Any class switch or transfer is subject to a $35.00 administrative fee and availability.
