Cut for a Fireblade rider who does not want to look like a walking billboard. Black base leather with red flank and shoulder sweeps, white accent lines, and Honda wing branding at the chest and sleeves. Underneath the graphics it is the same race chassis we build every suit on: top-grain drum-dyed cowhide, metal armor across the shoulders and elbows, CE Level 2 protectors at the back and thighs, and external sliders taking the ground contact at both knees and elbows. Rear speed hump, professional race fit, US sizes 38 to 54. This colorway keeps the base black and uses red as an accent, so it reads as Honda without shouting it, and it still works if you change bikes inside the family. It sits naturally against a Grand Prix Red CBR1000RR, a black CB1000R, or a red and black CBR600RR without looking like a costume next to any of them. Riders on a Repsol-liveried bike usually go the other way and want the orange and blue, but for everything else in the Honda range this is the safer pairing. What Else You Need for a Track Day The suit is one item on the tech inspection list. Most first-timers get turned away for something else, so check the rest before you book. Item Requirement One-piece leather suit This suit covers it Full-face helmet Current Snell or DOT rating, no expired shells Leather gauntlet gloves Must overlap the suit cuff, no gaps Over-the-ankle race boots Leather, no street sneakers or short boots Back protector CE Level 2 included with this suit Base layer Moisture-wicking, long sleeve, no cotton Knee sliders Fitted before you arrive, not in your bag Frequently Asked Questions Is this an official Honda product? No. This is a Turbo Race Gear suit produced in our own facility in Honda colors, and it is not manufactured, licensed or sold by Honda Motor Co. What you are buying is our standard race construction: top-grain drum-dyed cowhide, metal armor at the impact zones, CE Level 2 back and thigh protection, double-layer vented leather and safety stitching through every seam that meets the ground in a slide. The graphics and panel layout are fixed on this model and ship exactly as shown in the product photos. Do the legs go inside or outside my boots? Inside. Race one-pieces are cut narrow at the ankle so the leather tucks into an over-the-ankle race boot, which is what most track organizations expect at tech inspection. Boot-out styling belongs on touring pants, not race leathers, because a loose cuff can catch and ride up in a slide. If your boots are a bulky adventure or touring design the cuff may not clear them, so measure your boot shaft circumference before ordering. Standard sportbike race boots from any major brand fit without an issue. Does it come with a speed hump, and does it actually do anything? Yes, the rear hump is built into the suit rather than added on. At road speeds it does very little. Above roughly 100 mph in a full tuck it smooths airflow off the back of your helmet, which reduces buffeting and the neck fatigue that comes with it on long sessions. It also creates space along the spine for airflow and, on many riders, a hydration bladder. If you never leave the street you will not feel the aerodynamic benefit, but it costs you nothing and it is a requirement in some race classes. Do gloves come with it, and what should I pair it with? Every suit ships with a free pair of matching gloves. For track use, make sure whatever gloves you run are gauntlet length and overlap the suit cuff with no skin showing when your arms are extended on the bars, because that gap is the first thing tech inspection checks. Beyond gloves, the pairing that matters most is over-the-ankle leather race boots. Browse the rest of the Honda riding gear range if you want the gloves and jacket to match this colorway.
