About the artwork The design has been adapted from the oil painting 'Jaune Rouge Bleu (Yellow, Red, Blue)' by Wassily Kandinsky (1866–1944), founder of The Blauer Reiter group of artists who challenged conventional art ideas. The painting depicts geometric shapes in primary colours and black curved lines, an expression of the power of colour and form. For Kandinsky Yellow represented excitable energy, Red assertion, and Blue deep, restful and spiritual, and that shapes correspond with colour. Every effort has been made to reproduce the colours accurately in the product images but different computer monitors may display the colours slightly different to that of the received item.
