2007 Nash E-57 Esquire-Style – Salmon/Coral – Early Production – Bill Nash Signed – USED This 2007 Nash E-57 is an especially interesting early-production example, finished in Salmon/Coral and weighing just 7.1 lbs. Built in a classic Esquire-style single-pickup configuration, it was originally sold through Rumble Seat Music and later belonged to one of the shop’s staff members. One of the most distinctive features of this early Nash is its unbranded headstock. These early Fender-licensed instruments were intentionally supplied without a factory-applied Nash logo, allowing players to apply the decal of their choice. Nash eventually began using its own branded headstock decals, making the clean, unbranded headstock an important detail that differentiates this 2007 example from later-production Nash guitars. The guitar is signed by Bill Nash in multiple locations, providing further evidence of its early origin and hands-on connection to the company’s founder. The original Nash hang tag is also included. The original Lollar bridge pickup has been replaced with an Electric City ECT-59. The original Lollar pickup is included, allowing the next owner to return the guitar to its original pickup configuration if desired. Although currently set up as a traditional single-pickup E-style instrument, the body is already routed beneath the pickguard for a neck pickup. This means the guitar can be converted to a two-pickup configuration without routing or permanently modifying the body. A sticker is currently affixed to the back of the guitar. We believe its message was intended to be ironic or antithetical, but we have not confirmed whether it was applied during the original build or added later. We were led to believe that it may date to the guitar’s manufacture, so we have chosen to leave it in place while seeking further clarification. The sticker could be removed if the next owner prefers. The aged Salmon/Coral finish has the worn-in appearance for which Nash instruments are known. Its lightweight construction, single-pickup layout and straightforward controls deliver the direct, responsive character players look for in an Esquire-style guitar.
