This exceptional late Georgian Pinchbeck (tested), revolving, triple Seal is a magnificent example of English Coaching Jewellery, dating to Circa 1820. Perfectly capturing the romance and utility of the era, the tactile piece features a smooth rotating mechanism that houses three beautifully selected oval (un-marked), Hardstones: a deep, flecked Bloodstone, a rich Carnelian, and a distinctive Carnelian with Vitreous Lustre. Originating from the height of the mail coach era, this highly collectable triple Seal has survived in wonderful condition, with the metal retaining its characteristic warm, golden glow. It represents a rare opportunity to acquire a wearable piece of social history, transitioning seamlessly into a contemporary wardrobe as a statement pendant or a sophisticated addition to an antique fob chain. English Coaching Jewellery: Pinchbeck (a substitute for Gold), was invented in the early 18th Century by Dr Christopher Pinchbeck (died 1732), a London clock-and watch-maker.
