8645 Thorens TD165 Belt-Drive Suspended-Chassis Turntable | Shure M75 Series Cartridge | Non-Original Lid | The Thorens TD165 is a classic Swiss-made belt-drive turntable from the early 1970s, positioned as the entry point into Thorens’ respected suspended-chassis range of the era and drawing directly on the design of the higher-end TD150. It uses a floating sub-chassis and counterframe to isolate the platter and tonearm from external vibration and footfall, a design approach that was considered genuinely high-end when introduced and which remains prized by collectors today. This example is fitted with a Shure M75 series moving magnet cartridge and comes with a non-original dust cover. This unit has been fully tested and inspected by Andrew in our workshop.
