Charbonnel Retouching Ground

Charbonnel Siccative Varnish/Retouching Ground is a fast-drying varnish that can be used as a liquid stop-out ground. Due to its very fast drying time, it can be used as a retouching varnish over already applied grounds, without causing them to dissolve. It works well as a stop-out for aquatint techniques. Apply with a brush to the cold plate. It will dry to an opaque, satin finish. Made with beeswax, turpentine and asphaltum, it will clean off with low-odour solvents.
