Chandani Ajrakh Mirror Work Modal Silk Saree

A black-ground Ajrakh saree in modal silk, block-printed in an eight-pointed star lattice — red, blue-grey and cream stars linked by a fine diamond grid, with a small hand-set mirror at the centre of each star. The print is done the long way in Kutch, Gujarat, across sixteen separate stages of resist and natural dye, and the mirrors are set by hand afterwards rather than machine-stitched.
