Natural citrine is considerably less common than the heat-treated amethyst frequently sold as citrine, making naturally occurring crystals particularly interesting mineral specimens. This natural crystal has an elongated prismatic form with a defined termination and translucent smoky-golden coloration that deepens toward the tip.
